Trak Terms of Service / Conditions d’utilisation
Last updated: September 6, 2026
Service operated by: Trak
1. The service
Trak is a personal ledger for tracking spending, informal IOUs between people you know, and shared expenses in groups. Trak does not hold, transfer or lend money, does not connect to bank accounts, and does not provide financial, tax or legal advice. Balances shown in the app are calculations based on entries that you and other members type in.
2. Your account
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials safe and for everything done through your account. You may delete your account at any time from Settings or via the account-deletion page.
3. Acceptable use
Do not use Trak to harass other people, to record information about people without a legitimate reason, to send spam invitations, to interfere with the service, or for anything unlawful. We may suspend or remove accounts that break these rules.
4. Shared records
Entries in a group or a loan are visible to the other members of that group or loan. When you delete your account, your private data is removed; shared accounting records that other members rely on are kept in anonymized form so that their balances stay correct.
5. Availability and changes
Trak is provided “as is”. We work to keep it available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service or error-free calculations, and we may change or discontinue features. Keep your own records for anything important.
6. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for disputes between users about the amounts recorded in Trak. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including consumer-protection rights in the EU.
7. Privacy
How we process personal data is described in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use Trak after that date means you accept the updated terms.
